Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates

New York City Center has a long history of being an artistic home to so many New Yorkers—audiences, artists, and staff—and we take that responsibility to heart now more than ever.

In support of the CDC and Governor Cuomo’s restrictions to contain the spread of COVID-19, City Center has cancelled the remainder of the 2019-2020 season through the summer, including Encores! Thoroughly Modern Millie, On the Move, and Encores! Off-Center. We look forward to announcing an exciting new season later.

We invite you to enjoy original new content with City Center Live @ Home virtual programs while our theater is temporarily closed. Tap into engaging new works from a City Center commission titled Ayodele Casel’s Diary of a Tap Dancer V.6: Us running for seven weeks starting on July 14. Expand your dance horizons with conversation and performances from Misty Copeland, Sara Mearns, Tiler Peck and other acclaimed dance artists in a new five-part series of Studio 5 | Great American Ballerinas beginning July 16.

You can also relive some of your favorite song and show moments from City Center’s illustrious musical theater vault with the Encores! Archives Project.

Follow us on social media @NYCityCenter on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and subscribe to our YouTube channel to receive notifications whenever we post new videos.

If you are a parent or teacher looking for at-home activities to enrich and inspire your students and family, please visit our enhanced Education Resources page for dance and musical theater study guides and video clips that support K-12 learners and promote critical thinking and engagement.
